Michael Retiel, for the past 18 years of his life, has been surrounded by the comforts of a good childhood. He will soon be an independent adult or a constant dependent one if that. He finds himself unable to comprehend the problems his new college friends have had their entire lives. His best friend who calls himself "Jewman," has an abusive father. Lenin's inability to make money turns him into a rebel with a cause. The girl Chris who has to work in the Las Vegas strip clubs wants to fall wildly in love, and Will can't take the stress and pressure of work anymore resorting eventually to drugs. Michael decides to "help himself" by bettering his understanding of the troubles of life. Through the advice of the successful and beautiful Gina (seemingly unaffected by these troubles), Michael decides to analyze all the choices and advice that comes to him; unaware of the consequences. His findings stumble him across a mysterious figure over the phone who introduces him to the life of a teenage gang member; allowing Michael to understand and adopt the dangerous philosophies of another. Michael's journey will soon lead him to dangers that will affect his friends, environment, and the stability of his own mind. |
